The highly-anticipated CD Projekt game Cyberpunk 2077 has been off to a rough and controversial start. Last week, we reported that a gamer warned fans that Cyberpunk2077 contains images that could trigger epileptic seizures, even claiming that she suffered a major one herself. Now, just a few days removed following its official launch day, some players have expressed their disappointment after experiencing several glitches and technical issues while playing the action-adventure epic.
The game allegedly has multiple bugs and crashes on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Fans quickly aired their frustrations on social media which resulted in the hashtag #Cyberbug2077 trending on Twitter. The good folks over at CD Projekt have finally addressed the issue that's been bugging players for a couple of days now. In an official statement, CDPR issued an apology assuring fans that they'll improve the game's overall experience.
"We would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase," the statement reads. "We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One." They later stated that they'd be willing to give dissatisfied players refunds if they can't wait for the patches. Read the full statement below:
The game's developers surely have a lot on their plate right now and dealing with such glitches can be so stressful, especially considering gamers have been anticipating its arrival. Of course, those who experienced the said technical issues can rest assured knowing that CD Projekt is doing everything to make the game even better.
