Critical Role continues to be one of the go-to shows for fans of Dungeons and Dragons, thanks to an engaging narrative and the presence of well-known voice actors. It seems like an animated special based on their adventures was only natural since they are voice actors so a KickStarter for The Legend of Vox Machina but even the most hardcore fans were surprised to know that it would be fully funded this quickly.

Go to their KickStarter and you'll see that Matt Mercer and his friends have not only reached their goal of $750,000 but surpassed that and have made more than $4 million, which is more than most of us expected. Fans who supported the project should be proud of themselves and it will be awesome seeing this group's dream project in animated form.

We are currently promised 22 minutes of animation, which is the usual amount of time for an animated movie. Only time will tell if the quality is there but fans of the long-running web show should be happy with it either way. Here is hoping it lives up to expectations and gets fans who aren't in the know up to speed.

This being a KickStarter project and all, a proper timetable isn't expected, though they are hoping to deliver the project on May 2020. In the meantime, fans have Critical Role to keep themselves entertained.
