Crisis on Infinite Earths recently dropped their official poster which features all the characters as well as the debut of Oliver Queen's Spectre. And while fans are excited for the show in general, it seems like they don't see eye to eye with the character's new look.
The actor's costume is indeed comics-accurate, however, it's not exactly what the fans expected. His suit is similar in terms of the character wearing a green cloak, as well as some gloves. He does have some darkness around his eyes, although it doesn't quite cover it all, with fans pointing out that they're basically just dark circles not essentially a shadow-like darkness.
Of course, some fans like the Spectre's look, but some, not so much. You can check out some of the viewer's reactions over at Twitter below:
The Spectre is a "cosmic entity" and a "physical embodiment of God's vengeance on Earth." Created by Jerry Siegel, the character made its first appearance in More Fun Comics #52 in 1940. Spectre also appeared in NBC's Constantine portrayed by Emmett J. Scanlan. And now, fans will get to see Stephen Amell's version of the character.
And while some fans don't necessarily agree with each other in terms of Spectre's appearance, they are still pretty much excited to see the character in action and what his role will be in Crisis.
Crisis on Infinite Earths will continue on Tuesday, Jan. 14 with Arrow, followed by DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
