Could The Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Have Confirmed Iron Man’s Death In Avengers: Endgame?

The first official teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home might have gotten fans excited for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, but the opening scene for the video has also sparked concern for Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark.

While it seems like the Avengers are going to win the fight against Josh Brolin's Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, fans know that undoing the Mad Titan's snappening is going to come at a cost, and many suspect that the price might be the life of Iron Man or Captain America (Chris Evans). However, the likelihood of Tony's death seems even stronger after the release of the trailer for Far From Home.

In the video, fans get to see Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) carrying an overwhelmingly large check from the Stark Relief Foundation. Though a simple check shouldn't cause that much alarm, the document's signature comes from Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), the foundation's co-founder. Could the absence of Tony's signature mean his death in Endgame?

We might be jumping to conclusions too quickly. Relief foundations aren't necessarily made in honor of someone's passing. Tony's absent signature? Maybe Iron Man was too busy to deal with the documentation in Far From Home. Besides, Pepper took over for Tony as the CEO of Stark Industries in Iron Man 2, so it'd make sense for her to sign the checks.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens in Endgame. We're only a few months away till the film's premiere, no need to get all antsy.

Avengers: Endgame debuts April 26, 2019. Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to follow on July 5, 2019.
