Star Wars: Project Maverick to be Announced Tomorrow?

News had come out last week that EA was ready to reveal Motive's Star Wars game, Project Maverick, this week. We didn't get a specific release date then, but word has it that the reveal could be set for tomorrow.

According to Bespin Bulletin, Star Wars: Project Maverick is going to be revealed tomorrow June 9. Like I said, we don't have any official confirmation yet, but it does line up with the rumor from last week. Personally, I'd think a big reveal would have a more solid release window like on Wednesday or Friday.

Then again, we should just take this with a grain of salt, but until we get something official, the rumor is all we really have.

We don't exactly know what Project Maverick is going to be about yet, but we do know that the studio developing the game, EA Motive, has worked on properties like Star Wars Battlefront II and Anthem. While I was expecting a full-on Starfighter game, I'm kind of thinking Maverick is going to be closer to an action-platformer—much like Anthem. Maybe this could be the canceled bounty hunter game that we had heard about before, or maybe what became of Star Wars 1313.

Until we get an announcement, all we can really do is wait. Hopefully, we get something soon.

If you want to play Star Wars now though, Battlefront II and Jedi: Fallen Order are now available for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
