Classic Star Wars Love Theme Gets New Arrangement By John Williams

It looks like John Williams has a brand new arrangement for a classic Star Wars theme set for release next year.

According to a new report by ComicBook.com, legendary Star Wars composer John Williams has just created a new arrangement of the love theme "Across the Stars." Star Wars fans might remember the theme from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones - the theme was used to score the blossoming romance between the young Jedi, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), and the Senator of Naboo, Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman).

Specially created for Anne-Sophie Mutter, a Grammy Award-winning violinist who is set to perform the piece, William's new arrangement of "Across the Stars" will be made included in a collection of the iconic composer's classic themes scheduled for release sometime in 2019. Mutter is also set to reinterpret all the other pieces in William's collection.

Now at 86 years of age, Williams is working on the score for his final film in the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: Episode IX. The composer has scored every main entry in the Star Wars saga ever since A New Hope came out in 1977 and now, after forty years of working together with Lucasfilm, it looks like the musician has decided to mark Episode IX as the end.

Last month, Williams was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons, and the composer had to cancel his various concert performances in Vienna and in London. Thankfully, Williams soon recovered from his ailment a week after his hospitalization.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to hit cinemas December 20, 2019.
