Who Is Christopher Reed? Meet One of the Strongest Hunters
In the Solo Leveling manhwa, Christopher Reed is the strongest hunter in the US and one of the five National Level Hunters.
This essentially means that he's so powerful that his strength is equivalent to that of a nation's entire military.
He debuts in the Japan Crisis arc, the series' 17th story, so he isn't all that likely to appear in the first season of the Solo Leveling anime.
While his powers include Spiritual Body Manifestation (the ability to turn into a giant) and telekinesis, the full range of his strength isn't displayed in the manhwa, and fans hope that the anime could change that.
Christopher Reed's Death in Solo Leveling Explained: Does He Return?
Norma Selner from the Federal Bureau of Hunters foresees Christopher Reed's death through one of her visions.
Initially, Reed found it hard to believe that someone as strong as him could be killed easily.
However, he was eventually convinced to take Go Gun Hee's contact details to be able to get in touch with Sung Jin Woo if he was in danger.
Norma's vision proves to be correct. In the International Guild Conference arc, Reed is trapped in a dimensional gap in his own home.
Before he can fully assess the situation, three Monarchs attack him at once. Realizing that he doesn't stand a chance, he goes into battle, hoping to take out at least one of his three foes.
Sadly, he doesn't succeed. Since the battle happens off-page, the exact manner of his death isn't shown.
Anime adaptations might sometimes fill gaps that the manhwa didn't have the resources to elaborate upon, so fans are hoping that Christopher Reed's battle against the Monarchs might be animated.
While the manhwa doesn't touch upon the possibility of Reed's return, Solo Leveling's ending makes it possible.
In the end, Jin Woo defeats all the Monarchs before using the Cup of Reincarnation one last time to return to a time before their arrival.
As a result, many other characters who died have the chance to live a normal life in which they never became Hunters.
Since there is no confirmation of the opposite, it is safe to assume that Christopher Reed is one of them.
