Christopher Nolan's Next Film is Called 'Tenet', More Actors Join Cast

It's been going around for a while that Christopher Nolan is working on a new movie with Robert Pattinson and John David Washington playing the leads, and now we have an official title for the film, plus some great additions to the cast.

Warner Bros (via ComicBookMovie) has announced that Nolan's next movie is titled Tenet, and is being described as "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage." Funny that the film should be considered an espionage film because a lot of people actually wanted Nolan to take on Bond 25 before Danny Boyle was hired (and fired, then replaced with Cary Fukunaga).

As for additions to the cast, we have Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass), Clemence Poesy (Goblet of Fire), and Indian actress Dimple Kapadia. You'll also recognize returning Nolan vets Michael Caine (The Dark Knight trilogy) and Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk).

It's also worth noting that Black Panther composer Ludwig Goransson will be taking over the score for the film since Hans Zimmer is too busy working on Denis Villeneuve's Dune.

As for the story, we don't really know anything yet, but the word "tenet" is defined, "a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy." Hopefully, that gives us even just a little clue as to what to expect from this film.

Christopher Nolan's Tenet is expected to hit theaters on July 17, 2020.
