Christopher Lloyd Would Love To Do A Fourth Back To The Future Movie

It might be close to three decades since Back to the Future III made its big premiere in cinemas, but Doc Brown's Christopher Lloyd is still pretty interested in another Back to the Future movie.

Speaking with the Phoenix New Times right before a screening of the very first Back to the Future movie, Lloyd, now 79 years-old, admitted that he'd love to be in another wacky time-traveling science fiction film.

"I'd be delighted. I'd love to be in a fourth film if they could come up with the right idea that extends the story and does it as well as the first three," the actor told the publication.

However, it seems like Lloyd also needs a few things in place for Back to the Future IV. Not only does Lloyd want original director Bob Zemeckis, he also wants the original writer Bob Gale on board too.

"It's important if Bob Zemeckis and Bob Gale are excited about doing another episode," the actor added.

Given how Zemeckis already told fans that he wasn't so fond of the idea of Back to the Future IV, it's hard to believe that the director might come on board, though Universal Pictures could very well work on a reboot. After all, a lot of studios have been giving well-loved properties reboot sequels left and right – Ghost Busters, Jurassic Park, Blade Runner, and so many more. We could see Universal trying to give the Back to the Future franchise a reboot sequel too.
