Back To The Future’s Doc Wants To Be In Rick And Morty

Rick and Morty fans all know that the brassy animated science fiction adult comedy series started off as a Back to the Future Parody – it really isn't hard to see when you have warped versions of Doc and Morty as the lead characters of the series.

Now, it looks the series has gotten the attention of Back to the Future's Doc himself. Speaking in an interview with the Phoenix New Times, Back to the Future actor Christopher Lloyd not only says that he's seen a few episodes of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's cheeky science fiction comedy, he'd also like to guest voice on the show someday too.

"I don't follow it closely, but I've seen a few episodes and I gotta tell you, I think it's a lot of fun. I know it's some kind of parody of Doc and Marty," Lloyd told the publication.

When asked whether he'd want to pop up in the show, Lloyd was more than happy, saying that it'd be "really fun" if he could play Rick's father on the show.

The idea of having Doc on as Rick's father sounds like a pretty wild ride – imagine a kooky old scientist trying to deal with this irreverent, god-less son of his. Knowing Rick and Morty, the episode could probably have some time travel, flashbacks, cloning, or whatever weird high jinks get in the writer's head. Let's cross our fingers that Doc might make his way Rick and Morty.

Rick and Morty has been renewed for 70 more episodes, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.
