Christian Bale May Be Marvel’s Next Thanos-Level Villain

Earlier this week, word came out that Dark Knight star Christian Bale would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe by starring in Thor: Love and Thunder as an intergalactic villain.

While the report didn't specify the villain that Bale would be playing in Taika Waititi's second Marvel movie, BGR speculates that the actor could very well be playing a major intergalactic villain at the same level as the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin).

In the initial report that revealed Bale to be an intergalactic villain in Love and Thunder, names like Gorr the God Butcher, Dario Agger, Beta Ray Bill, Adam Warlock, and the Silver Surfer are passed around. However, BGR suggests that Bale's villain could be more powerful than any of the villains named. After all, Marvel would hate to squander away Bale's star-power. Why bring in an Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actor to play a secondary villain in a standalone film when you could have him become one of the next major threats to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one at the same level, or perhaps even greater, than that of Thanos?

Perhaps Marvel could introduce Bale as Galactus, the "force of nature" and "destroyer of worlds." Not only would Galactus be able to take on all of the Earth's mightiest, but he'd also bring in the Fantastic Four.

There's also Doctor Doom, Death, In-Betweener, Korvac, and a whole lot of other villains that could bring in all of Marvel's heroes for another team-up movie like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

What do you think? Will Christian Bale get to play a villain like Thanos? Let's wait and see.
