Chris Pine Rebels For Scotland In The Brand New Trailer For The Outlaw King

Earlier this month, word came out that Star Trek actors Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth were bowing out of the fourth Star Trek film installment because of failed negotiations. The news disappointed fans because number one, Pine plays the lead role of Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek film franchise.

While everyone's waiting for news on whether or not Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media are going to try to approach Pine and Hemsworth again to settle the previously failed negotiations, it looks like Star Trek fans are going to get to see more of their beloved USS Enterprise Captain, this time as the Scottish Rebel Robert the Bruce.

Netflix has just released its very first trailer for the historical war epic, the Outlaw King, and in it we get to see Pine play the role of a nobleman-turned-outlaw who leads a rebellion against Stephen Dillane's King Edward I. You can check out the trailer up above.

The very first feature directed by David Mackenzie since the release of his Academy Award Best Picture –nominated Hell or High Water, the film Outlaw King gives life to the true story of how the nobleman Robert the Bruce turned into an outlaw to lead a rebellion against King Edward I and drive him out of his country during the English occupation of Scotland.

Together with Pine, the film also brings together actors Aaron Tyler-Johnson, Florence Pugh, Alastair Mackenzie and Billy Howle.

The Outlaw King is set for release sometime this November.
