Marvel fans might be eager to see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) return to the big screen again after his debut as Bro Thor in Avengers: Endgame, but it looks like Marvel's taking its time developing the next Thor movie, the wildly-anticipated Love and Thunder.
Chris Hemsworth just recently attended this year's Tokyo Comic Con and according to ComicBook.com, the Marvel star was asked during a panel to give a few updates on his next movie as Asgard's God of Thunder, Thor: Love and Thunder.
Though the actor couldn't really say that much about his fourth Thor standalone movie, Hemsworth did update fans about the status of the project. According to the Endgame star, he has yet to see a script for the film, though he does know that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is excited to bring a brand new movie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"Lots of love and lots of thunder. You can expect that," Hemsworth said. "I haven't seen the script yet. I know they're working very hard on it and pretty excited to bring you something pretty fresh and new again. But having left Endgame, where Thor was, we have a lot of room to move there and drastically change again, which is very, very exciting. But we start shooting that sort of mid-next year."
There's a lot of anticipation building up over Love and Thunder. The film promises the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, this time, as Almighty Thor. While we can't be quite sure to what extent Waititi might take notes from the Almighty Thor comics, we're excited to see Jane Foster's female Thor make it into the MCU.
