Chris Hemsworth Reveals His One Condition for Returning in Thor: Love and Thunder

There is little doubt that most actors would be happy to work on a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. However, Chris Hemsworth wasn't quite ready to continue playing the God of Thunder. Amazingly, the Avengers: Endgame star reveals he had one condition for returning in Thor: Love and Thunder and it's as awesome as you think it is!

Thor is the first MCU hero to get a fourth film and there's a good reason for that. Although the likes of Captain America and Iron Man have already seen their character arcs come to an end while the God of Thunder still has a future in the MCU.

However, it sounds like Chris Hemsworth wasn't eager to work on a fourth Thor movie. Luckily, he was convinced when he realized it would mean working with Taika Waititi all over again.

"I don't know that I would've done another if Taika hadn't said yes, he was going to do it," Hemsworth told Vanity Fair. He then added Waititi's screenplay for Thor: Love and Thunder truly sealed the deal.

"He had written this beautiful script which was a wacky, crazy, romantic comedy set in space and that I hadn't seen before," Hemsworth said.

We're not surprised that Hemsworth was so eager to work with Waititi again. After all, they worked so well together on Thor: Ragnarok which turned out to be the most beloved Thor film. Luckily, we can expect more of the awesomeness of their collaboration in Love and Thunder soon.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and will bring back Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif. The movie will introduce Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher.

Catch Thor: Love and Thunder as it hits theaters on July 8, 2022.
