Chris Evans On Hayley Atwell's Live-Action Debut As Captain Carter: "I Couldn’t Be Happier For Her."

Since Captain America, Hayley Atwell is best known for being Agent Carter in the MCU and recently, she dons another costume due to the multiverse opening the possibilities. In Marvel’s What If..?, Atwell reprised her role again but in this case, she becomes the first Avenger and is later known as Captain Carter.

Captain Carter made a cameo on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and while it was a joy to finally see Hayley Atwell suit up with the shield, her appearance was short-lived after Wanda obliterated the whole Illuminati.

In an interview with MTV News, her former on-screen partner, Chris Evans, could not be any prouder for Hayley Atwell becoming Captain Carter and making a live-action debut on the said role, "I haven’t seen it yet, but I heard. I mean she is perfect for it.”

Evans added that he is happy for Atwell’s return in the MCU, “She’s truly just one of the best actresses I’ve ever worked with and just one of the loveliest humans. So, I couldn’t be happier for her."

Chris Evans left the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a high note after Captain America returned the stones to the past and he decided not to return to the present, instead, he stayed with Agent Carter to finally have his dance with her. He passed the shield to the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, who finally embraced his new role in the MCU in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Recently, Chris Evans took on a new hero role but this time, he voices Buzz Lightyear in Disney Pixar’s Lightyear. Evans remains coy when being asked whether he would still come back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but he is open to entering new franchises such as the Star Wars.

Lightyear is currently in theaters.
