Chris Evans Channels Captain America with Rant on Technology, Robert Downey, Jr. Responds

Chris Evans is best known today for playing Captain America, and one of the consistently running gags on the character is the fact that he's a man from the 40s stuck in the present time. While Evans usually puts up wholesome posts on his Twitter, he's suddenly put out a rant on technology as if he was Steve Rogers himself.

Check it out:

Even Robert Downey Jr. was quick to play along with Evans, to which he responded:

While Evans is known for being Captain America now, I'm sure a lot of fans remember him back from his Human Torch days. Back then, Evans was able to play more wild and not-so-noble characters. He was kind of a villain in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and if you can imagine, he was also the comic relief in The Losers.

With Evans' contract ending with Avengers: Endgame, I'm actually excited to see him come back to his more comedic roles down the line. I mean, Captain America is great, but he can be a humorless stick in the mud sometimes. Let Evans have a little fun!

We don't know how exactly the MCU plans to end Captain America's arc after 10 years, but with time travel said to be involved, my favorite ending for Cap would have him be placed back in the 40s and live out his life with Peggy Carter. Steve Rogers has had too many tragedies in his life, and he definitely deserves a win for his last film.

Catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26.
