Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi will offer new series to fans after seeing them work together on The Witch.
The rise of Korean dramas and movies internationally gave way to celebrities like Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi to gain more fans outside South Korea.
For Choi Woo Shik's part, he famously became part of the Academy-winning Bong Joon Ho film Parasite and currently flaunts his charisma on tvN's variety show, Youn's Stay. Meanwhile, Kim Da Mi immediately became a "monster rookie" when he starred in The Witch and earned more praise for her role in the hit Netflix series, Itaewon Class.
After working on the mystery horror-action film, Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi try romance in the new drama, Our Beloved Summer.

What Choi Woo Shik, Kim Da Mi Think Of Their Roles
Three years after they first worked together, stars got the chance to work again in the SBS's romance series. Choi Woo Shik plays the role of successful illustrator, Choi Woong, while Kim Da Mi plays Gook Yeon Soo's part.
In an interview shared by The Korea Times, the actor revealed he chose to work on the project due to its well-written script. According to Choi Woo Shik, reading only the first few episodes made him curious about what lies ahead. Although he has only read a few parts of the series so far, he already described his character as an honest young man.
"Choi's character was a low-performing student who had no dreams whatsoever. However, he defies all the odds to become a successful illustrator," he said.

He also shared how it feels like to work with Kim Da Mi again, disclosing they have kept in touch since first working together. The new drama surely excites them as the duo used to chase and tried to kill each other's character in The Witch, while they are all about love in Our Beloved Summer.
Kim Da Mi, on the other hand, scored her dream "common and realistic character." Per the actress, her character is strong on the outside but soft on the inside. That mixed emotion reportedly challenged her to do better.
"I have been looking forward to it since I heard that Choi would take on the role of Choi Woong. It was nice to have him around on set, and we were able to rely on each other and have fun together as acting partners," she went on.

The male lead, Choi Wong, has been an immature man all his life. But everything changes when he finds something in his life that he instantly wants for the first time.
The female counterpart, Gook Yeon Soo, always wanted to be number 1 during her school days. After becoming an adult, she tries harder as she faces the reality years after graduating.
Soompi revealed that the drama will portray the young adult's dreams, love, and growth, and their 10-year relationship.
Our Beloved Summer will run 16 episodes through its stint, and it will premiere on December 6.
