Chewbacca is Wearing Armor in Concept Art for Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story showed us a great scene where Chewbacca and Han Solo meet, but the scene could have actually played out very differently. Lucasfilm's Phil Szostak shares some concept art of Chewbacca and Solo fighting alongside each other on the battlefield of Mimban.

Check it out:

As you can see, Han is wearing a helmet that looks very akin to that of WWI-era uniforms, as WWI was said to have been the peg for the battle of Mimban. What's also neat is the picture of Chewie saving Han. Originally this was supposed to happen in the film, serving as a reversal of Chewie's "Life Debt" from Legends.

Though the movie didn't perform as expected in the box office, reception for the film has been fairly positive. Analysts are concluding that the poor numbers are due to the lack of marketing—as Lucasfilm only started pushing Solo two months before its release.

Personally, I loved the film, and I thought it was just the thing the franchise needed after the catharsis and heavy themes of The Last Jedi— a fun-filled adventure in a galaxy far far away.
