The Punisher is making its way back to Netflix this month, and with the second season of the series so close to its release, the streaming giant has decided to ramp up the show's marketing campaign.
Not only did Netflix drop the first teaser trailer for the second season of The Punisher earlier this morning, but the company also released four new stills from the upcoming batch of episodes, teasing what's to come for Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle and Ben Barne's Billy Russo.
The pictures might not give away plot details of the next season but they do show the transformation of the two characters – Frank Castle turning into the Punisher, and Billy Russo turning into Jigsaw.

The new teaser trailer for The Punisher season 2 also focused on the same theme, the transformation of the series two main characters. Fans have long since been anticipating the transformation of Frank Castle, and now, it looks like they'll finally get to see the character wear the iconic Skull as he goes all out in the next batch of episodes of The Punisher.
Of course, the transformation will take some time throughout the season. Speaking in an interview with Collider last week, The Punisher showrunner Steve Lightfoot revealed that the new season would first take Frank on a tour across the country, giving the vigilante a "look at the country he fought for but has never really seen."
Only when he completes his adventure will he return to New York City to tie up loose ends.
The Punisher Season 2 debuts on Netflix January 18, 2019.
