Check Out The Event will star Girl's Day's Minah as Ha Song Yi, who works as a coordinator at a botanical garden. She believes in what her mother told her that people are capable of betraying you but plants will never do the same. Ha Song Yi gets into a rough time after breaking up with her long-time boyfriend.

Kwon Hwa Woon will portray Minah's character's ex-boyfriend, Park Do Kyum. He is the leader and vocalist of an indie band who has an unexpected soft heart and personality despite his feisty physical appearance.

Giving life to the character of Seo Ji Kang, actor An Woo Yeon will take part in the series as a tour guide who began to develop feelings for Ha Song Yi during the trip. Due to him being an essay writer, Seo Ji Kang chose to be a tour guide for couples so that he can observe them for his piece.

The other couples on the trip are UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk and Nam Kyu Hee. The two will portray a YouTube vlogger couple named Song Jong Ho and Noh Hyo Jung, respectively. Additionally, Kim Young Sun and Kim Hee Chang will play as the oldest couple on the trip.

Check Out The Event is a melo and romance drama that tells the story of ex-lovers Ha Song-yi (Bang Minah) and Park Do-gyeom (Kwon Hwa Woon). They win a couple trip event in which they have applied for before ending their relationship. The two try to pretend that they are still happy lovers and participate in the couple trip event along with other couples in Jeju Island.
