Harrison Ford is one of the fan-favorite characters in the Star Wars franchise. It surely came as a surprise to the fans when his character, Han Solo, was killed off in The Force Awakens. Even though Han Solo is unlikely to return in J.J. Abrams' The Rise of Skywalker, a fan of the beloved character made a video to see Harrison Ford in a different movie.

Bill Pullman, the original actor who played Lone Starr in Spaceballs, was replaced with Harrison Ford, which is certainly a good fit since he's the original actor for Han Solo. Check out the deepfake video made by user EZRyderX47 below:

In case you need a refresher, Spaceballs was released in the USA back in June 1987. It was produced and directed by Mel Brooks, along with writers Thomas Meehan and Ronny Graham. George Lucas allowed the film to make a parody as long as the director didn't make any merchandising. The Star Wars creator actually ended up liking Brooks' parody movie.

Spaceballs is considered by many as a cult classic and remains one of Brook's most popular films. Aside from Brooks and Pullman, the film included the likes of John Candy and Rick Moranis.

Spaceballs actually wasn't the first Star Wars parody, prior to its release, another movie parody, Hardware Wars, premiered back in 1978.

I think compared to other deepfake videos, this one was really well made. The fans think so as well since the thought of Ford "parodying" a parody of his role is ironic and funny; a fan also mentioned that the edit was flawless and cleanly made.

In the meantime, fans could check out J.J. Abrams' upcoming movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which is set to release on December 20, 2019.
