I think a lot of people saw a disinterest in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise after the release of On Stranger Tides, and with Dead Men Tell No Tales, people are being optimistically cautious. Thanks to CinemaCon 2017, a bunch of people were able to catch the screening for the upcoming Pirates movie, and the verdict? It's all looking good.

Disney will be happy to see that some fans loved the new entry to the franchise, considering it as a ‘return to form.' The movie is said to be well-paced with solid action, and there are shout-outs to lead actress Kaya Scodelario and Javier Bardem.

A lot of people have actually expressed their surprise that Dead Men Tell No Tales is actually a solid movie, what with Disney spreading out the POTC franchise as long as it can. I was even worried that a lot of the reviews would talk about Johnny Depp being too tired to add any more enthusiasm in the Jack Sparrow role.

Then again, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was also met with very warm reactions, and we all know how that one turned out.
