Marvel may have cast Brie Larson as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's iteration of Captain Marvel, however, fans continue wondering whether other actresses would have suited the role better. That includes Charlize Theron, the hard-knock action star and Academy Award winner who's appeared in quite a number of high-action films like Mad Max: Fury Road, Atomic Blond, and Bombshell.
Now, thanks to the work of BossLogic, Marvel fans can get to see what Theron might have looked like if she were cast as Marvel's Carol Danvers. Taking to Instagram, the artist put up new work showcasing the actress as Captain Marvel. In BossLogic's post we get to see two amazing versions of Theron's plasma-blasting hero – one with her powers activated and one without it.

Theron certainly looks sharp as Captain Marvel, and looking at all the comments on BossLogic's post, it seems like quite a number of fans are itching to see the actress as Carol Danvers. She would have been the perfect candidate for the role considering her background in action movies like Atomic Blond and Fury Road.
In fact, before Marvel announced Larson as the new Captain Marvel, many fans assumed that Theron would be cast for the role. Unfortunately, it seems like Theron has yet to be offered a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Captain Marvel 2 is set to premiere on July 8, 2022.
