Chameleon Is Reportedly Showing Up In Spider-Man 3

Now that Spidey is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man 3 is well underway. Thanks to Sony and Disney on making a new deal, finally making up and mending fences. Tom Holland's journey as Peter Parker will continue, and of course, meeting another villain is inevitable.

The plot of Spider-Man 3 is yet to be announced. However, rumor has it that some villains were mentioned whilst in discussion. YouTube Channel Lords of the Longbox shared some plot details regarding Chameleon and Kraven the Hunter.

The channel does note that things are subject to change since there's a new agreement between both companies. There could be potential spoilers within this rumors following the movie. So if you do not want to know some details about the plot, do not read further.

Cosmic Book News reports that the rumor suggests Chameleon will be the villain. The movie will be about "a tale of identities." In the post-credits scene in Far From Home, Peter Parker's identity was revealed. And there's actually someone who steals identities, and this is where Chameleon comes in.

Speculated to be the darkest Spidey film out of the three in MCU, it will follow Peter Parker, a mature and grown-up lad who has experienced a lot of distressing situations. Parker will be going on a "harrowing personal journey at home."

The Chameleon, having said his abilities, will likely steal Peter Parker's identity. He would pretend as the hero and go about doing crimes left and right, setting Parker up as evil, which tarnishes the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man brand.

It was also mentioned that Kraven could be featured in the movie. Kraven is Chameleon's half-brother and CBN thinks that the two might be working together, which would probably involve the Sinister Six.

The shapeshifting Skrulls were definitely a surprise in Far From Home and even the fans are just cautious of the characters because they could imitate just about anyone. And if Chameleon is confirmed as the villain, the movie would be an absolute rollercoaster ride.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on May 1, 2020.
