The past couple of chapters covered Denji and Asa’s date. While it initially didn’t start well, things went from bad to worse.

Denji and Asa went on a date in Chapter 113, and it was far from a good one.
Asa’s date plan turned out to be a boring one as she just spouted marine biology facts.
Though things took a turn for the worse as they found themselves stuck in an infinite aquarium because of Fami and possibly the Eternity Devil.
In the previous chapter, Denji was shown comforting Asa. Now, it seems that the two are actually having fun with each other.
Aside from eating starfish, the two decide to gather money from the infinite aquarium.
While Asa continues to be her dorky self, Denji finds her to be quite amusing, even reminding him of friends from the past.
In the meantime, Asa is warming up to Denji, with some fans even believing that she has fallen for him.
Asa is supposed to turn Denji into a weapon so she can escape. But at the end of the chapter, Asa decides to try turning the aquarium into a weapon so they can escape. This likely means she doesn’t want to sacrifice Denji.

Specifically, fans spotted a specific panel where it seems that Asa has heart eyes for Denji.
Many fans also praised how natural and cute these events are, all while keeping Denji and Asa in character.
Plus, many appreciated how Nayuta was finally mentioned and that she is now Denji’s top priority.
As a bonus for Chainsaw Man fans, the manga will not go on a break as the upcoming chapter will be released next week.
