Chadwick Boseman's Family Addresses What If? Star's Posthumous Emmy Nomination

The nominees for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards have finally been announced and not surprisingly, the late Chadwick Boseman has been nominated for his stellar performance in What If...? last year. Now, Boseman's family is celebrating the posthumous nomination along with the Black Panther star's fans!

Chadwick Boseman has been nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for the What If…? episode What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord? that explored the possibilities if the future Black Panther was taken by Yondu Udonta instead of Peter Quill. Although he is being nominated for this particular performance, Boseman voiced his character in four episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe animated series.

Not surprisingly, people are delighted by the nomination. The official Chadwick Boseman Twitter account, which is now being handled by his family, shared an excited post about the Emmy nod.

"What an incredible honor! Thank you to the @televisionacad for Chad’s posthumous #Emmys nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over for his roll in as T’Challa in the animated series #Whatif…? from @DisneyPlus and @MarvelStudios," the tweet read.

We're certainly happy for Chadwick Boseman's family and the nomination is an awesome confirmation that his talent shone through in his final performance.
