Chadwick Boseman Was Getting Ready for Black Panther 2 Before His Death

Chadwick Boseman dying is proof that 2020 and cancer are just plain terrible, with his fans and co-stars still trying to process the fact that he's gone. He was fantastic as T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame so you can see why Marvel fans are still grieving. What makes the news even more tragic is the fact that Boseman never told anyone about his sickness and was getting ready for Black Panther 2.

Damn you 2020. Damn you cancer.

THR reports that no one working on Black Panther or Marvel Studios, in general, was aware of Boseman's illness as the actor wanted to keep it a secret. Only a few non-family members knew what was bothering the actor and since he managed to make a number of Marvel movies already, Boseman was confident that he would make Black Panther 2. Sadly, that didn't happen and we're pretty depressed.

We're all wondering what's going to happen in this sequel, with many thinking that Shuri will take her brother's place as Black Panther just like in the comic books. Some weird people also want Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger to come back and take his place, which wouldn't make much sense given how different his ideologies are compared to T'Challa. We'll just have to wait and see.

No release date for Black Panther 2 has been revealed, though the movie was supposed to be a part of Phase Four and could still be a part of it. Rest in power Chadwick Boseman.
