Doctor Strange Sequel Reportedly Starting Production in November

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness had run into a major hurdle when Scott Derrickson left because of creative differences, and when Sam Raimi took over, the film still wasn't able to make it's spring start thanks to COVID-19. With Marvel Studios slowly getting the ball rolling again, it looks like the sequel is going to start shooting before the year ends.

According to Murphy's Multiverse, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is now looking at a start in the UK this coming November. What's more, the site suggests that the movie could be able to make its November 2021 release date, after it was briefly moved to release in March 25, 2022.

We don't have that much solid news on the plot for Mutliverse of Madness yet, but we do have bits and pieces. It's said that the Nightmare Realm will be playing a big part in this, and Wanda Maximoff will be joining Doctor Strange in his new journey. Word also had it that the movie will also be introducing us to an incoming Young Avenger in the form of America Chavez a.k.a. Miss America.

This is also just my own speculation, but I think this movie is going to lay the ground for the animated Disney+ series, Marvel's What If…?. With Scarlet Witch also being in the mix, I am hoping that we get a House of M scenario where we could see the introduction of mutants; speaking of mutants, I think this is the perfect movie for Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool to walk into a portal into the MCU and demand that he stay because his universe was ‘canceled.'

For now, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is set for a release on March 25, 2022.
