Chadwick Boseman Honored by Howard University with College of Fine Arts Renaming

Howard University is giving the late Chadwick Boseman an amazing and truly deserved honor. The university has officially named its College of Fine Arts after the Black Panther star.

Back in May 2020, Howard University vowed to rename the college in honor of Boseman. The Avengers: Infinity War star is an alumnus at the historically Black university and Howard decided that Boseman is the perfect person to represent the College of Fine Arts.

This month, Howard University kept its promise and unveiled the new Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.

"Yesterday, the letters were installed over the now official Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. An icon in his own right who has left an immeasurable legacy for the next generation. Thank you, Mr. Boseman," the caption read.

The university also shared a video on how the new name was installed on the building. Although it doesn't show much other than a man installing the letters, the end result is truly rewarding.

It's a fitting tribute to Boseman, who passed away in August last year. Howard University had actually made the promise before the actor's passing and it's great to see that they have kept their word. With that in mind, future generations will be sure to remember Boseman's amazing contribution to the world.

Boseman was set to reprise his role as T'Challa in the sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His final performance as the King of Wakanda was in the second episode of the animated series Marvel's What If...? which airs in August.
