CD Projekt Red Clarifies That Cyberpunk 2077 Won't Be 200GB

Cyberpunk 2077 is looking like a pretty great game and we're all looking forward to playing the title when it finally comes out. It's been delayed numerous times but always looks good when a trailer or two is shown so we really hope that this game lives up to all of our lofty expectations. However, we're also dreading putting this game into our systems since we're sure that it will take up a bunch of space and make us delete something from our backlog.

Fans were worried when Nvidia showed off the game because they had a label that said 200GB games, which got people on Reddit talking. Eventually, Global Community Lead Marcin Momot took to Twitter and said that the game would not take up that much space. While he didn't give us the full rundown on how much space it would take, he did say that it would be on par with most modern AAA games.

While that's a nice gesture, the fact that AAA games can go from 25GB to 90GB still has us worried. Look at something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which takes up 200GB on most gaming systems, and you can see why gamers are dreading this eventual announcement. It also doesn't help that Marvel's Avengers will be 90GB and fans will probably pick that up later this week.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming out this November on current gaming systems, with a next-gen upgrade coming to PS4 and Xbox One owners for free.
