Things looked hella promising for CD Projekt's latest game Cyberpunk 2077 months prior to its release but unfortunately, the action-adventure game didn't exactly hit the mark following its official launch last week. The developers of the game have received multiple complaints from its players due to bugs and other technical issues that were just too irksome for them to ignore and let pass. Last week, Sony offered refunds for unhappy players of the game, and CD Projekt would later follow suit while assuring everyone that they're working on fixing the nagging issues.

Now, in a stunning turn of events, CD Projekt has announced that they'll no longer be distributing digital copies of Cyberpunk 2077 on the official PlayStation Store for the time being. In an official statement cross-posted on their social media platforms, CD Projekt said: "Following our discussion with PlayStation, a decision was made to temporarily suspend digital distribution of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation Store."

Players who already scored their respective copies need not worry as the developer promises to get rid of the technical issues and improve the overall experience. "You can still buy physical versions of the game in brick and mortar stores and online. All purchased digital and physical copies of the game will continue to receive support and updates as we continue to improve your experience." In the end, CD Projekt assured fans that they are "working hard to bring Cyberpunk 2077 back to PlayStation Store as soon as possible."

Improving the game can be a daunting task even for a company as huge as CD Projekt. We don't know exactly what led to the game's disappointing debut and performance but here's to hoping that everyone working on improving the game will be able to sort things out immediately or risk losing a lot of money.

As it stands, digital copies of Cyberpunk 2077 are still available on Xbox Series X & S and PC.
