While the future of the DCEU remains questionable, a number of the rumored projects have been interesting, to say the least. One of these projects is the R rated Harley Quinn spin-off possibly being called Birds of Prey, even though the character was never a part of that group in the comics. Margot Robbie has hyped the film up as an R rated girl gang film and DC fans are psyched to see some of their favorites team with Harley.
Unfortunately, this might not include one of her very good friends; Catwoman.
The Wrap contributor Umberto Gonzalez went out of his way to say that the Gotham anti-hero would not appear in the film, even calling it a rumor killer on Twitter. He mentions how Lea Seydoux is not having talks to appear in the movie and states that Catwoman isn't even in the film.
Catwoman aka Selina Kyle had been rumored to appear in the Birds of Prey film, with some suspecting the aforementioned Lea Seydoux in the role. Like Harley, Catwoman never joined the Birds of Prey, though she has helped them out from time to time. Harley and Catwoman were in Gotham City Sirens, which is supposedly being developed by Suicide Squad director David Ayer.
No release date for Birds of Prey or any of the Harley Quinn-related movies has been revealed.
