Castlevania Producer in Talks to Produce Legend of Zelda Series

Castlevania is the best video game adaptation ever made and if anyone says no to that they are wrong. The Netflix animated series has managed to bridge the gap between video game fans and casual audiences by having an engaging story, great animation, and a few callbacks to the Konami games. With the second season proving to be stronger than the first, fans are eager to see what's next.

As we wait for season three, series producer Adi Shankar might be working on another video game adaptation that might blow our socks off; The Legend of Zelda.

That's right, if this report from The Wrap has any legitimacy to it, Shankar could end up producing a series based on Nintendo's epic game series. It's not yet clear if this will be animated or live-action but when you consider how great Castlevania is, let's hope it's the former.

What makes the speculation a bit more legitimate is the fact that Shankar went to social media and teased meeting with a "legendary game company." Few gaming companies can be called legendary but Nintendo is definitely up in that list, with hits like Mario, Kirby, Zelda, Starfox, and many more.

Shankar said he will make his announcement on November 16, so fans better mark their calendars so they can see what will be made. We can only hope that it's Legend of Zelda since the games are incredible and the only form of media outside of video games the series has is a poorly-received animated serial (excuuuuuse me princess).

Castlevania season 2 can now be streamed on Netflix.
