Cartoon Network's Controversial Thundercats Roar is Coming Out in 2020

Just when fans thought they hated Teen Titans GO, Cartoon Network seemingly kicked everyone in their most pivotal area when they announced ThunderCats Roar. Taking the Teen Titans GO route with the ThunderCats, fans immediately outraged over the move, claiming that it was ruining their childhood, even if the show is catering to kids and not adults. Originally slated for 2019, the show never came out this year and a Sneak Peek from Cartoon Network confirmed that it is now coming out sometime in 2020.

This Sneak Peek showed off some of the new and returning shows coming to Cartoon Network, with ThunderCats Roar showing up at around the 1:09 mark in the trailer above. Unfortunately for those that are hating this look, Roar will retain the chibi art style for these characters. While we understand why some older fans would hate this, keep in mind that this is a cartoon aimed at children.

Why the show has been delayed and still has no definitive release date is a mystery. At the least, we'll finally be able to see this show and know if it's really that bad or if the writing is actually much smarter than we know. Teen Titans GO definitely has its moments so there's a great chance that Roar can also end up being a solid cartoon in its own right.

ThunderCats Roar will be coming to Cartoon Network sometime in 2020. Don't be too triggered by its art style you guys, it's for kids.
