Ryan Reynolds Addresses Secret Thundercats Movie Rumor

Fans have been wondering if Michael Bay is currently planning a Thundercats movie that will be filmed under a code name. Interestingly, Ryan Reynolds has somehow confirmed the rumor in his own special way.

It was previously reported that Bay and Reynolds will begin work on a war movie called Six Underground in Abu Dhabi, UAE this November. However, the film is allegedly just a cover for a secret Thundercats film that is being penned by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Reese tweeted out a simple response to the speculations. It wasn't long before Reynolds himself offered some sort of confirmation as well. Check out his tweet below.

Who wouldn't want to travel to Thundera to shoot a film? Although it would be fun to imagine Ryan Reynolds playing Lion-O, we'll have to accept that Six Underground is just another action flick from Bay. However, we're keeping our eyes and ears open for a possible Thundercats live-action film in case the director decides to pursue the project.

We won't be seeing Reynolds wield the Sword of Omens but he will portray an animated creature in a different movie. The Hitman's Bodyguard actor will provide the voice and motion capture for the titular little pocket monster in Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.

Six Underground will reportedly begin production later in November. Reynolds is also developing a third Deadpool movie and might be a part of the planned X-Force film.
