Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson Wants Kamala Khan In The Film’s Sequel

Last year, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige let fans know that the studio had plans to introduce Ms. Marvel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Captain Marvel's Brie Larson says that she'd want to share the big screen together with the MCU's new Kamala Khan once she starts working on the film's sequel.

Larson's been pretty busy working on the promotional campaign for Captain Marvel the past few weeks, and during a press conference held in Singapore, the Marvel star was asked which superhero she'd like to team up with in the expected Captain Marvel 2.

The actress' choice? Kamala Khan.

"My dream would be that Ms. Marvel gets to come into play," Larson said while fans broke out in applause.

The moment Marvel announced that it was planning to introduce Captain Marvel into the MCU, fans started wondering whether Carol Danvers' debut would pave the way for Ms. Marvel's appearance. Last year, Feige confirmed the studio's plans to bring Kamala Khan into the MCU in an old interview.

"Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works," Marvel's head honcho said last year. "We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel."

For those who aren't familiar with the character, Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American teen that's first introduced into Marvel Comics in 2014. Living in Jersey City in New Jersey, Kamala is an Inhuman with shape-shifting abilities who takes on the name Ms. Marvel, following in the footsteps of her role model, Carol Danvers. Ever since her debut, Kamala has been a fan-favorite character. We can't wait to see her make her way to the big screen.

Captain Marvel premieres on March 8, 2019.
