It looks like Brie Larson's Captain Marvel has one more superpower outside of superhuman strength, stamina, flight, and photon abilities.
Marvel star Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury in Marvel Studio's upcoming Captain Marvel standalone movie and the actor just revealed that aside from her comic book superpowers, Carol Danvers has also been gifted with the ability to travel through time.
Jackson just recently spoke in an interview with Entertainment Tonight to help promote Marvel's first ever female-led comic book movie. During the discussion with the publication, the prominent actor discussed the powers that Captain Marvel would have in the film. Here's how Jackson described the scale of Captain Marvel's power:
"She's pretty much the strongest character -- in terms of someone with powers are able to do things -- in the Marvel universe. So, for Carol Danvers to be that person and for Brie to become that person, it's gonna be a dynamite thing. I mean, [the Avengers] are up against some really, really tough odds right now -- we saw throughout Infinity War -- so now we know that we need something that's as powerful as Thanos. And at some point, we'll find out how powerful she is and all the things that she's capable of. She's one of the few people in the Marvel universe that can time travel, so..."
This is definitely an interesting development. Carol Danvers has been long considered the greatest Avenger and now that she's making her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, everyone's eager to see what she can do. But no one really expected time-travel to be in the list of Captain Marvel's superpowers.
Could her time-travel powers be something that we also get to see in Avengers: Endgame? Could the Avengers use her power to undo Thanos snap?
