Captain Marvel Star Lee Pace Takes A Break From Work In Southern France

Is Captain Marvel filming in France? Lee Pace has just shared an interesting video which suggests the actor is currently taking a break from filming. His idea of a relaxing time? Hiking up to the Pont du Gard without a shirt on.

Pace has previously been confirmed to reprise his role as Ronan the Accuser in the highly anticipated Brie Larson movie. Although filming has been scheduled to be in Louisiana, the actor's most recent post on his official Twitter account reveals he is in southern France to marvel at the Pont du Gard. Take a look at the video below.

If you can get past the fact that he is shirtless, you will see that Pace is clearly wearing a Captain Marvel hat. Naturally, this led to fans wondering if filming for the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick has moved to France.

It is still possible that the star of The Hobbit has already completed work on the MCU movie and is simply enjoying his time off. An obvious hint at that would be Pace's healthy beard, which is probably something Ronan would not have in the film. Then again, who knows? Captain Marvel is taking place in the 1990s so maybe the younger Ronan would be much hairier.

Captain Marvel will also bring back Pace's Guardians of the Galaxy co-star Djimon Hounsou as Ronan's ally Korath. They will be joined by Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg, who will both be digitally de-aged for the movie.

Captain Marvel is scheduled for release on March 8, 2019.
