Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Reportedly Interested in Shifting to DCEU

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson might have another standalone movie in the works over at Marvel, but there are rumors spreading saying that the Marvel star may want to dip her toes in the DC Extended Universe too.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, inside sources say that Larson is hoping to join the DCEU as Lady Blackhawk. DC reportedly wants to introduce the ace aviator and gunhand in the upcoming Black Adam movie starring Dwayne "The Rock Johnson." After getting introducing the character in the DCEU movie set for release in 2021, Warner Brothers plans to give Lady Blackhawk her own standalone movie.

The report further claims that Lady Blawkhawk is being groomed to become a mainstay in DC's cinematic universe.

Though it's interesting to hear that Larson is interested in the Lady Blackhawk role, the actress has yet to comment on the rumors. We'd like to advise fans to take the report with a grain of salt until Larson or DC itself confirms that the actress is interested in the role.

Even if the rumors were true, we find it very unlikely that Larson would be cast in Black Adam. DC probably wouldn't want an actress already strongly associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It wouldn't be good for the business. Warner Brothers would probably want an actress yet to appear in any comic book movie.

Black Adam is set to premiere on December 22, 2021.
