Captain Marvel Star Annette Bening Needed Her Kids to Explain the MCU to Her

Captain Marvel is only a few weeks away, with many either anticipating the latest MCU film or hating it for being "SJW propaganda." Reactions to the movie have been positive thus far, with many of us hoping that our opinions will reflect those that have seen it already. It is one of the odder movies coming out, what with the number of cosmic characters like Yon-Rogg, Minn-Erva, and the Supreme Intelligence, the latter of which is played by Annette Bening.

Given Bening's age, it's easy to assume that the actress isn't a huge Marvel Comics fan and she admitted that the script confused her at first during an appearance in The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While her Marvel knowledge isn't much, the actress did ask her kids for help and they rose to the occasion, which is cute.

"When I read the script, I did find it slightly confusing. I took into my confidence [...] two of my kids [...] and asked them to please explain to me what the hell was going on."

Most of us who have read the comics know that The Supreme Intelligence is usually shown as a big head stuck in a tube. Since this version will be played by Bening, it will be interesting to see if this version is just a humanoid Kree or is a projection from said giant head. Both would be fun options.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8.
