Marvel Studios has already teased on Law being Mar-Vell, the leader of Starforce in a recent website leak. Nevertheless, fans have insisted that this may have been a misdirection so people would not realize he is playing a completely different character. Sure, he's still the Starforce Commander, but his name is actually Yon-Rogg.

So who is playing Mar-Vell in the movie? It's someone you least expected. At one point in Captain Marvel, Carol connects with the Supreme Intelligence, which projects itself as someone from her memories. Although the amnesiac Carol initially believes the woman she sees (played by Annette Bening) is her mother, it is later revealed that the woman is a doctor who once helped her on Earth. However, that wasn't a human doctor at all. It was actually a disguised Kree who happens to go by the name Mar-Vell.

The revelation about Mar-Vell isn't the only shocking thing in Captain Marvel. We also get to find out how Nick Fury lost his eye in the first place. The culprit is, as everyone expected, none other than Goose the cat.

The synopsis for Captain Marvel reads as follows:

"Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with questions about her past and identity when Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds."

Captain Marvel crashes into theaters on March 8.
