There is little doubt that Carol Danvers' cat will the true scene-stealer in Captain Marvel. After all, Nick Fury couldn't get enough of the adorable Goose. However, it looks like those theories were right all along and that sweet-looking feline is not what it seems to be.
There have been speculations that Goose is actually an alien just like its comic book counterpart Chewie. In the comics, Carol's pet is a Flerken, an alien that mostly looks like a cat except it has tentacles in its mouth. Not surprisingly, a new Captain Marvel toy may have confirmed that interesting detail about Goose. Take a look at the photo below.
According to the tweet, the merchandise was actually spotted in a Target in Austin, Texas. The original poster stated that the toy probably shouldn't be sold just yet but the store obviously didn't get the memo. Needless to say, we're hoping to see more of Goose using those tentacles in Captain Marvel.
But could it also solve an old Marvel Cinematic Universe mystery? There have been speculations that Goose is the one responsible for Nick Fury losing his eye in the first place. We'll just need to wait a few weeks to find out for sure.
The synopsis for Captain Marvel reads as follows:
"Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with questions about her past and identity when Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds."
Captain Marvel crashes into theaters on March 8.
