Captain Marvel: Jude Law Won't Confirm or Deny Playing Mar-Vell

Captain Marvel is coming out next year and fans are excited to see how the 1990's looks in the MCU. Younger versions of Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, and even Ronan the Accuser are confirmed for the movie, making it one of the more star-studded origin stories from Marvel Studios. One character fans are excited to see is Jude Law, whose role hasn't been revealed, though many believe he will be Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel (not Shazam).

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Law revealed that he will neither confirm or deny if he will be playing the classic Marvel character. This might annoy fans who want to know right away so they will have to wait for a trailer like the rest of us.

Mar-Vell is a huge part of Carol Danver's story since he is the one who gave her powers. His DNA is infused with Carol's after an accident, which gives her some of his abilities, including flight, super strength, energy absorption, and more. She soon becomes Ms. Marvel before taking up the Captain Marvel mantle, though the movie will skip over the Ms. Marvel era.

Now if only Law would give us more details about that….

Captain Marvel is coming to theaters on March 8, 2019.
