Captain Marvel Casts Game of Thrones Actor Chuku Modu for Unspecified Role

Fans are currently waiting in anticipation for Captain Marvel, which is still a long while away. The movie will be set in the 90's and show us why Carol Danvers is Earth's Mightiest Hero, along with the scene where Nick Fury gives her the beeper (hopefully). As we wait for this character to knock Thanos around, or get thrown around by him, Marvel has gone and cast an actor for an unidentified role in the movie.

That actor is Chuku Modu, who fans will recognize from The Good Doctor and a few episodes of Game of Thrones. This was revealed by IMDB News and not a random edit from their website, the latter of which is almost-always means it's false.

No word on this mysterious role but given how Captain Marvel is going to introduce the Skrulls, there's a good chance that he could be one of them. It might be wishful thinking if he ends up being Kl'rt the Super Skrull, who has the powers of each Fantastic Four member. Jude Law has already been confirmed as Mar-Vell, so that's out of the picture.

Whoever Modu ends up being must be important since the film just finished shooting. Then again, with reshoots likely on the way there's a good chance that Marvel can squeeze him in there somehow. That or his role will be entirely digital.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 6, 2019.
