Captain Marvel: Jude Law Shares Robert Downey Jr's Advice On Joining MCU

Being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an awesome job, as Jude Law has learned from Robert Downey Jr. The Captain Marvel actor has just shared what his Sherlock Holmes 3 co-star had told him about joining the MCU.

Law recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his first major role in a Marvel film. The Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald star revealed that he already knew how MCU works because of Downey.

"He had just done the first Iron Man when we first worked together so I've sort of followed his journey and relationship with Marvel throughout, really," Law said. In addition to that, Downey offered some insight on how to deal with being part of a "bigger picture."

"He talked a little bit about how [making a Marvel movie is like] fitting this one piece into a bigger picture that someone else has got their eyes on, and giving yourself over to that. It's not about trying to understand everything. Just do your piece."

Law and Downey have been working together since 2009 on the Sherlock Holmes films. The two are set to reunite as the Baker Street Boys in the third installment of the Warner Bros. franchise. But before that, fans are probably hoping to see Tony Stark and Mar-Vell together in one MCU movie. Although it is highly unlikely to happen, it is great to know that they are both having fun with their own Marvel films.

Captain Marvel will premiere on March 8, 2019. Law and Downey will reunite in Sherlock Holmes 3, which is scheduled for release on December 25, 2020.
