There's no denying that Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ushering in a brand new era for the billion-dollar franchise, years after the culmination of the Infinity saga. With Tony Stark and Steve Rogers no longer leading the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, it's time for a new crop of heroes to come together and protect the entire universe.

Despite Iron Man and Captain America's absence, the superhero team they left behind seems to be in good hands and it's already safe to assume that Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and Sam Wilson, the new Captain America are frontrunners to lead the pack.

Over the course of the Infinity saga, we never saw an interaction between Sam and Carol but the Avengers: Quantum Encounter fan event on the Disney Wish delivers fans its first true taste of what a Captain America and Captain Marvel team-up would look like.

Footage from the said event has been making its rounds on social media featuring an epic team-up between Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain America, and Captain Marvel. After decimating an army of Ultron bots, Danvers tells Sam that she has other business to take care of on a different planet but not before acknowledging Wilson as "Cap". It looks like we'll be seeing more team-up moments from the "Captains" of the Avengers and judging by their first official encounter, Danvers seems to get along pretty well with her fellow heroes.

Meanwhile, The Marvels is currently scheduled for release on July 28, 2023.
