Captain Cassian Andor Series Set to Arrive on Disney+ Before Obi-Wan Kenobi

It looks like Lucasfilm's Cassian Andor series is going to arrive on Disney+ a year before Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Earlier this week, Disney posted its release schedule for Disney+, revealing that Lucasfilm's Obi-Wan Kenobi live-action series would premiere on the streaming site sometime in 2022. Now, it looks like a French Disney+ Presentation (via Fantha Tracks) seemingly confirms the arrival of Star Wars live-action Cassian Andor series a year before Kenobi.

According to the French presentation, Cassian Andor is being set for release sometime in 2021. The series will join Marvel's Disney+ titles Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye when it premieres next year.

It makes sense for Disney to schedule Cassian Andor for 2021. The second season of Jon Favreau's hit series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian is set to release sometime later this year. We're not quite sure whether or not Lucasfilm is developing a third batch of episodes for The Mandalorian, but it makes sense that Cassian Andor would be set to premiere a year after The Mandalorian finishes up its second season.

Of course, as exciting as Cassian Andor's 2021 release may be, we're keeping our fingers crossed over the release. The spread of the novel coronavirus may affect the production of the new Star Wars series, and in turn, a delayed production may mean a delayed release.

Let's just wait and see whether Lucasfilm can really drop Cassian Andor next year.
