Captain America Was Supposed To Arrive During The Final Moments Of Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel fans might not have known it, but Captain America (Chris Evans) was actually supposed to be introduced during the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War just got its digital HD release this week and in it, fans get to have a number of bonus features, including an audio commentary from the film's directors Joe and Anthony Russo and from writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus.

In the film's audio commentary (via Screen Rant), Joe Russo explains Captain America's epic train entrance in Scotland, saying that he and his team worked hard so that Steve Rogers would get a great introduction in Infinity War. However, McFeely, later on, reveals that the team actually had earlier drafts for the film where Steve came out much later in the movie during the Battle of Wakanda.

Markus also reveals that in some of their drafts, Captain America first comes out when he tackles down Corvus Glaive (Michael Shaw)right after the member of the Black Order skewers Vision (Paul Bettany) in the final moments of the Battle of Wakanda.

While a delayed entrance definitely sounds dramatic, it's good that the Russos decided to bring Cap into the film much earlier. Captain America is the First Avenger. Fans would have definitely been upset of Captain America was only in the film for a few minutes.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently available on digital HD and is set to release on Blu-Ray on August 14.
