There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to Captain America: New World Order. However, Anthony Mackie is actually excited about a completely different Marvel Cinematic Universe project. The Sam Wilson actor has just heaped praise on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, saying that it is proof that Marvel is allowing writers to "spread their wings!"
We already know that Sam Wilson will be back as the new Captain America in the fourth Captain America film and Anthony Mackie will star in the highly anticipated movie. But the Altered Carbon actor also enjoys watching the MCU shows on Disney+ and has nothing but praise for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
"I'm excited, She-Hulk was great! The last series to come out on Disney+," Mackie said to IMDb (via Total Film). He then explained what he likes so much about Attorney at Law.
"It's just different than their norm," Mackie said. He then pointed out that She-Hulk is the start of things slowly changing in the MCU.
"You could see Marvel giving writers the opportunity to spread their wings and look at the Marvel Universe in a different way," Mackie stated. He then added that it helps with the way Captain America 4 is being developed.
"So, Malcolm Spellman and I have been going back and forth. It's really unique to see how the character and the universe is evolving," Mackie concluded.
It's exciting to know that Anthony Mackie is involved with how Captain America: New World Order will deal with Sam Wilson's story. With that in mind, we can't wait to find out what will happen in the MCU film.
Captain America: New World Order will be directed by Julius Onah and also stars Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, and Shira Haas. It is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2024. A new episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
