Captain America Easter Egg Spotted in The Incredible Hulk

There is little doubt that there are several clues hidden in just about every Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Not surprisingly, there were a few that appeared in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. But did you know that the Edward Norton film actually featured a subtle Captain America Easter Egg?

It's no secret that The Incredible Hulk was already teasing on Captain America's arrival. After all, the film was already connected to the super soldier program and after finding out how Bruce Banner got his powers, Emil Blonsky agreed to be injected with a similar serum. Interestingly, there's a small detail about the serum that has been spotted by a fan, who immediately shared it on Reddit.

In The Incredible Hulk (2008), the Super Soldier formula given to Emil Blonsky is labeled as having been developed by "Dr. Reinstein." In the Marvel comics, Reinstein was a codename used by Dr. Abraham Erskine, whose serum turned Steve Rogers into Captain America.

It's interesting to note that although it was possibly from Eskine, the serum had a very different effect on Blonsky. This could confirm that Eskine may have agreed to share the serum but changed the formula. Either way, it's a cool thing to spot in the movie.

Steve Rogers would eventually be given the correct super-soldier serum in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011. Needless to say, the serum has gone through so much and we're just glad that Steve is the one who was chosen to be given the correct formula.
